Viola Davis’s household celebrated the actor’s many achievements on Dec. 11. Her husband, Julius Tennon, and daughter, Genesis Tennon, joined Davis on the Public Counsel’s annual William O. Douglas Award Dinner honoring “The Woman King star. Former costar and buddy Octavia Spencer offered Davis with the titular award in honor of her dedication to social causes.

For the crimson carpet occasion, “The First Lady” actor seemed modern in a black halterneck robe with gold chain straps. Genesis posed alongside her in a purple, crushed velvet costume, whereas Julius wore a dapper, burgundy swimsuit with a printed tie. While it isn’t typically Genesis is within the highlight, the 12-year-old has accompanied her mom to a number of occasions as of late. In September 2022, she attended “The Woman King” world premiere celebration together with her dad and mom, and a pre-Emmys celebration with Davis in September 2021.

After getting married in 2003, the couple adopted Genesis as an toddler in 2011. Though solely 12 years outdated, the budding star has already made her big-screen debut — she was a voice actor for “The Angry Birds Movie 2” in 2019. Davis can be a stepmom to Julius’s two kids from a earlier relationship.
