On Nov. 30, in the course of the assembly Democracy and Anti-racist Awareness in Electoral Justice, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) launched the booklet “Racist Expressions: why keep away from them”.
According to the organ, the aim of the handbook is to checklist phrases and expressions to be banned from the Brazilian vocabulary below the justification that the phrases could be offensive to black folks.
Words comparable to “enlighten”, “slave”, “half-ass” and “nega maluca”, in addition to expressions comparable to “accomplished on the thighs”, had been identified as liable to exclusion.
