We’re a few weeks out from the discharge of Weezer’s closing EP of their SZNZ sequence. (Spring dropped in March; Summer got here out in June; and Autumn was launched in September.) SZNZ: Winter arrives December 21 — the primary day of winter, naturally — and when you attended Rivers Cuomo’s semi-secret present at LA’s Troubadour in September (he carried out as Goat Punishment), you’ve possible already heard a bunch of the songs on it. One of these tracks is “I Want A Dog,” which is out tonight. As a complete, Winter is described in a launch as “a stripped-back, acoustic-leaning body of work [that] encompasses the harrowing sadness that can so easily pair with the winter months.” Sounds well timed and applicable.
