The meant individuals for this convening are designers and administrators who determine as Latinx and Latin American, particularly these from traditionally excluded populations together with Indigenous, Afro-Latine/x, Caribbean, and Asian-Latine/x.
Thirty-five individuals shall be accepted into the Colaboratorio. During their time in Portland, individuals shall be break up into groups and have three days of uninterrupted work time at a Portland venue. All the groups shall be working from the identical script and their time in Portland will culminate in a day of shows on learnings and the method.
During the 5 days in Portland, our objective is to doc the learnings, discoveries, and concepts that transpire throughout our time collectively. This is a direct intervention on the historic lack of documentation on Latinx theatre and its creatives. Five people, students, and/or anybody taken with and able to creating this documentation shall be chosen to hitch us in Portland. Each particular person shall be paired with a crew that they’ll observe by way of their three-day journey of collaboration and brainstorming.
