What’s the legacy people are abandoning?
It was exactly that profound query which the design crew of Ujoo + Limheeyoung started to contemplate when crafting “Song From Plastic,” a tool able to enjoying again makeshift data inscribed into discarded items of plastic.
“After tens of hundreds of years have handed, the sound of an extinct existence comes from plastic fossils found by future clever life,” the duo writes. Though it is an unsettling, large image view of humanity’s legacy, “Song From Plastic” can be a reminder of what makes humanity particular.
In distinction to the shallow plastic “fossils” we’re abandoning, the artists sought to outfit the discarded waste with peculiar on a regular basis sounds and snippets—like kids laughing and joyful singing—that showcase the brilliant facet of human existence. The sounds have been embedded into the surfaces of discarded meals packaging, cordless telephones, casings for digital units and extra.
