Musician Steve Lacy made his “Saturday Night Live” debut on the Nov. 5 episode of the long-running sketch sequence, which was hosted by Amy Schumer. The 24-year-old is having a second proper now because of his easy, throwback vibes and catchy songs. For his inaugural look on the Studio 8H stage, Lacy performed two fan favorites from his second studio album, “Gemini Rights”: “Bad Habit” and “Helmet.”
Both performances felt stripped again and effortlessly cool, identical to Lacy himself. The set was comparatively low-key, with purple mild surrounding him as he jammed out to “Helmet.” Meanwhile, the singer enhanced the already energetic sounds of “Bad Habits” by bouncing across the stage as he let the track do his speaking for him.
Appearing on “SNL” was clearly an enormous deal for Lacy. On Oct. 27, he let his followers know he was shifting his tour schedule round to be able to make his musical visitor look occur. “Ok excellent news and dangerous information,” he captioned a photograph of his “SNL” announcement on Instagram. “Good information is..swipe proper..dangerous information is.. i’ve to maneuver some exhibits round for me to do it 😠extra data quickly sorry prematurely luv u 💓.”
With his first “SNL” look formally a hit, Lacy will probably be heading again on the highway to proceed his “Give You the World Tour.” Check out his performances under.
