Huge evening in Cleveland Saturday, when musical legends have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
How’s this for a formidable listing … Dolly Parton, Eminem, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Lionel Richie and Carly Simon.
It was nearly overload taking all of it in … Sheryl Crow inducted Pat Benatar and hubby/collaborator Neil Giraldo. Sheryl stated Pat “rocked as laborious as any man however nonetheless maintained her identification as a lady.”
But wait, there’s extra. Janet Jackson bestowed the Musical Excellence Award to Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
Bruce Springsteen offered Jimmy Iovine with the Rock Hall’s Ahmet Ertegun Award. Bruce additionally paid tribute to Jerry Lee Lewis, singing “Great Balls of Fire” and “High School Hop” with John Mellencamp.
