Writer-director Tony Gilroy has garnered lots of reward — rightly so — for his contributions to the galaxy far, distant. He made his Star Wars debut with the highly-acclaimed Rogue One, which he co-wrote with Chris Weitz, which adopted the titular Rebel group on a mission to steal the Death Star plans.
Now with the Disney+ collection Andor, which has additionally acquired widespread acclaim, Gilroy is bringing his sharp, incisive storytelling to the small display — even when the tales themselves do not feel any smaller in scale.
