Cynthia Bailey Reveals “Final Straw” That Led To Mike Hill Divorce

Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill confirmed their break up by way of joint and particular person statements to the press in mid-October. The announcement got here only a day after footage surfaced of Mike doubling as a human pole for a girl. Yet, the video had nothing to do with their break up. In his assertion to PEOPLE, Mike mentioned that they had been “thinking about going [their] separate ways for the last few months.”

Nearly three weeks later, Cynthia has opened up concerning the “final straw” that led her and Mike down the divorce path. She gave her tackle Monday’s episode of the podcast Two Ts In A Pod, hosted by Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge.

“I felt like we weren’t friends anymore,” Cynthia mentioned. “I felt like it was just going toward we’re just not going to be friends if we didn’t pump the brakes.”

Cynthia & Mike Have Emphasized Their Friendship Amid Split

Friendship has been a sizzling topic for Cynthia and Mike amid talking on their break up. The former couple first emphasised their friendship of their joint October 12 assertion to PEOPLE.

“LOVE is a beautiful thing. While we both will always have love for one another, we have decided to go our separate ways. No one is to blame, we are grateful that we remain good friends,” Cynthia and Mike’s assertion mentioned.

About two years after divorcing Peter Thomas, Cynthia and Mike had been romantically linked. Fourteen months later, Mike popped the query, and so they wed in a lavish Georgia marriage ceremony in 2020. But inside two years of marriage, their flame fizzled. During this week’s podcast look, Cynthia mentioned she leaned on her earlier marriage expertise to determine about Mike.

“This is not my first rodeo. I think friendship just has to be there in a marriage. Like, love is great, but friendship has to be there. I truly want to be with my best friend,” Cynthia mentioned.

Despite the tip, Cynthia claimed in her assertion earlier this month that Mike was destined to come back into her life. And like him, she is “so grateful for [their] continued friendship.”

Cynthia Believes There’s No Regrets Between Them About Split

Though the previous Real Housewives of Atlanta star is aware of she desires a bestie bae, her certainty doesn’t take away from her each day struggles. She advised the podcast hosts she has “good days and bad days” as they work to finalize the divorce paperwork.

“I don’t think either one of us regret our decision to move forward in the way we have decided to move forward,” she mentioned. “It’s not final yet. We’re still going through the process, so we’re still technically married. For me, there’s still just a lot of respect stuff on my end that I still feel like he’s my husband.”

Though there is likely to be no regrets, Cynthia says the method is “just weird.” No response to the podcast episode from Mike as of Wednesday, however she insists they’re on “good terms.”
