It received us each via lockdown with no expectation of the present turning into what it’s at present. We got here out the opposite aspect with a bit that speaks to how all of us really feel now about transferring ahead and what it means to belong.

We are sturdy advocates of recent, unique British musicals, and are delighted to have our debut present produced at Southwark Playhouse; a confirmed breeding floor for brand new revolutionary writing. Alice Fearn has fantastically embodied the character of Alex Shaw via a number of workshops, and we’re extraordinarily excited for audiences to see her deliver this brand-new musical to the stage for the primary time.”

Struggling with a tough previous, Alex Shaw is making an attempt to take steps ahead. We comply with her journey over twenty years, via two loves – younger, adventurous idealist, Stephen, and the older, dependable and charming Peter – as she gathers the scattered chapters of her life, within the hope of re-building her story and asking if she is going to ever be extra than simply “fine”.

Through Alex’s experiences, her uplifting story questions how relationships can change over time and explores what it takes to really heal.

Accept what was. Embrace what may very well be.
