Rosalía, the acclaimed Catalan pop famous person, and Rauw Alejandro, “The King of Modern Reggaeton,” have been courting since 2019 and revealed their relationship in 2021. Now they’ve teamed up on a three-song EP known as RR — or R♾Я for the flowery formatting varieties.
RR kicks off with “Beso,” form of a reggaeton energy ballad that’s being promoted with a music video. It’s not unhealthy, however I want the opposite two tracks on the EP. The laborious and nasty “Vampiros” is subsequent; with its violently smacking beat and spooky keyboard sounds, it could possibly be a haunted sequel to Rosalía’s nice J Balvin collab “Con Altura.” The venture closes out with a easy and sweltering gradual jam known as “Promesa” that jogs my memory of Rosalía’s early flamenco-influenced materials.
And watch the “Beso” video for the reveal that R and R r engaged.
RR is out now on Columbia.
