A European dessert generally known as chimney truffles — or kürtöskalács as they’re referred to as in Hungary — has made its strategy to Miami. Chimney Cake & Co. has opened inside Dadeland Mall and provides a contemporary tackle the normal pastry named for its distinctive form: a hole cylinder resembling a smoking chimney when it comes piping scorching out of the oven. The menu sells each signature and customizable creations, with candy and salty (in addition to cold and hot) variations that embrace the “Winter Wonderland” that mixes a toasted coconut chimney cake with white chocolate, pistachios, and strawberries topped with any selection of ice cream and crimson fruit sauce. Customers can pair their chimney truffles with Viennese espresso. 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday by way of Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
