São Paulo Court bans metropolis corridor from eradicating homeless individuals’s tents


The Court prohibited the São Paulo City Hall from eradicating the tents of avenue dwellers.

The resolution was launched on Friday (Feb. 17) and adopted a lawsuit filed by federal deputy Guilherme Boulos (PSOL) by homeless actions and activist Father Julio Lancellotti.

According to Judge Juliana Brescansin Demarchi Molina from the seventh Public Treasury Court, there’s “complexity” and “urgency” within the matter.

For this motive, she has scheduled a listening to for Feb. 24.

Only objects that impede roads and sidewalks and impede the circulation of automobiles and pedestrians could also be eliminated till the listening to happens.
