It’s Devo, and can be launched to a complete new viewers within the early ’90s, when two of the main grunge bands would cowl Freedom of Choice-era materials – Soundgarden with the aforementioned “Girl U Want” and Nirvana tackling “Turnaround” (the non-LP b-side of “Whip It”). And let’s not overlook Pearl Jam overlaying “Whip It” on Halloween 2009 in Philly…whereas dressed as Devo.
