“Based on the BBC’s BAFTA-winning British crime anthology, comes a provocative sequence that takes you on the journey of the defendant. Each episode opens in a courtroom on the accused, with viewers realizing nothing about their crime or how they ended up on trial. Told from the defendant’s standpoint by flashbacks, ACCUSED holds a mirror as much as the present instances with evocative and emotional tales.

In ACCUSED, viewers uncover how an atypical individual will get caught up in a unprecedented scenario, finally revealing how one improper flip results in one other, till it’s too late to show again. Emmy and Golden Globe winner Michael Chiklis (“The Shield”) guest-stars within the premiere episode, as Dr. Scott Corbett, a profitable mind surgeon with a seemingly excellent household. He faces the bounds of unconditional love when he discovers his teenage son could also be planning a violent assault in school. Later within the season, Marlee Matlin, Billy Porter and Michael Chiklis every direct episodes of the anthology crime drama. ACCUSED is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and FOX Entertainment.

The sequence is executive-produced by Howard Gordon (“24,” “Homeland”), Alex Gansa (“24,” “Homeland”) and David Shore (“The Good Doctor,” “House”). Emmy Award winner Michael Cuesta (“Homeland”) will direct this system’s premiere episode, reuniting with “Homeland” government producers Gordon and Gansa.”
