Amanda Seyfried selected a shocking archival Christian Dior robe to put on to the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday, accessorized with a purple lip, diamond necklace, and Stuart Weitzman heels. It was a daring however apt alternative — the low reduce and open sides confirmed off her determine, and the gold cloth and shimmering fringe ended up pairing properly with the award she took house for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for her function as Elizabeth Holmes in Hulu‘s The Dropout.

“It’s old- It keeps breaking. I’m not kidding. It’s actually like breaking. It’s like, I’m like tacked–.”
But she didn’t even get to complete the sentence earlier than one thing snapped and her shoulder strap fell a couple of inches. It was excellent, although maybe unintended, comedic timing from the Mean Girls alum. She joked afterward:
“I’m just going to take off my dress. I’m just gonna take it off.”
Evans couldn’t maintain it collectively making an attempt to proceed asking her questions. But she assured her workforce:
“It’s fine! Honestly, it’s old… It’s beautiful.”
Then with an impish delight, she pulled down the shoulder that stored falling in mock seduction. Making it work! LOLz! See the hilarious unscripted second (under)!
We can’t assist however surprise if the costume not being utterly put collectively is partially a results of a rush to be current at this award ceremony. See, she missed the Golden Globes final week, apparently as a result of she was engaged on a brand new musical (reportedly a Thelma and Louise reimagining co-starring Evan Rachel Wood!). Maybe she didn’t suppose she would win? But she did! So perhaps after that her workforce realized they wanted to get her ass to the ceremony — half-wrapped in gold or not! LOLz!
