Alberto Barbera is about to stay on the helm as creative director of the Venice Film Festival via 2026 and presumably longer.
The board of administrators of the fest’s mother or father group, the Venice Biennale – chaired by new president Pietrangelo Buttafuoco – on Friday introduced they’ve permitted Barbera’s appointment as creative director “for the years 2025 and 2026,” the Biennale introduced in a press release.
