Previously set for launch on Showtime, Ripley is headed to Netflix in April 2024.
First reported by Deadline, Netflix’s acquisition of Ripley occurred following the venture being shopped round by Showtime’s mother or father firm, which opted to not proceed with the venture provided that Showtime was about to break down into Paramount+. It is considered one of a number of initiatives not transferring ahead on the cable community with others, together with Three Women and American Gigolo.
While designed as a restricted sequence, “there is a possibility to go beyond the first installment if it’s a hit,” in keeping with the report.
Steven Zaillian (Moneyball, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) is behind the venture, each writing and directing.

When and the place was Ripley filmed?
The venture has been in improvement for years, first introduced in September 2019.
