Broadway ‘Appropriate’ With Sarah Paulson Nears Sell-Out In First Week – Deadline


Broadway field workplace and ticket costs fell again to earth final week following the earlier week’s Thanksgiving holiday-inflated numbers, with the full gross for the 26 productions dropping 14% to a mixed $29,568,897.

The common ticket worth for the week ending Dec. 3 was $134.70, down $16.19, or 11%, from the vacation week’s common. Total attendance was off solely 4%, to 219,511, indicating the decline in field workplace income might be attributed largely to the decrease quantity spent on tickets.

One new present, Appropriate starring Sarah Paulson, joined the roster and stuffed practically each seat on the non-prof Second Stage’s Hayes Theatre. The play, written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and co-starring Elle Fanning and Corey Stoll, amongst others, took in $483,124 for seven previews, with attendance at 98% of the venue’s capability.
