Sleater-Kinney have shared a video for his or her new music “Say It Like You Mean It.” The band’s Carrie Brownstein directed the music video, and it stars J. Smith-Cameron (who performed Gerri Kellman on Succession). “The video tells the story of a woman who’s lost all sense of what’s appropriate,” Brownstein stated. “Sick with the alienation that stems from existing in a disparate emotional state from the person or people closest to her, she grapples with debilitating loss, desires to be seen, and dares you to leave.” Watch the brand new music video under.
“Say It Like You Mean It” is the second single from Sleater-Kinney’s forthcoming album, Little Rope, following “Hell.” The new album is out January 19.
