La Muerte – Day of the Dead – Live Life Line Dance

How do you rejoice the day of the useless? I really like to bop so I seemed up this enjoyable line dance to Live Life from the Book of Life film. Enjoy studying to bop with La Muerte for Day of the Dead the “Live Life” Line Dance.

Roots of Day of the Dead

This dance is impressed by the Day of the Dead. This is a Mexican vacation with Mesoamerican and Spanish roots. It is a celebration of household who’ve crossed to the opposite aspect. Ancient cultures celebrated the thinning of the veil between worlds within the fall with bonfires and candles. In Mesoamerica the useless have been celebrated in August. The Aztecs would depart meals and water on the graves of their ancestors to help of their journey to the afterlife.  The Catholic church took up this custom and celebrates All Souls Day and All Saints Day. In medieval Spain they’d rejoice by adorning graves with flowers and leaving bread and wine for the useless.

Day of the Dead Traditions

The Day of the useless is a celebration of household who’ve crossed over to the opposite aspect. Traditions embody components of wind (with paper cutouts) water (a pitcher of water to quench the thirst of the deceased) Fire (candles) and Earth (Flowers & meals). Families would get collectively to recollect their ancestors and rejoice life. It has grown to incorporate parades and different festivals.

La Muerte Queen of Souls

In Aztec custom Mictecacihuatl is the Goddess of the realm of the useless and keeper of the bones of the deceased. She was depicted with a skull-like face. When the Spanish invaded, they introduced Catholicism with them. With it got here the transformation of Mictecacihuatl into Santa Muerte, Goddess of dying protector of souls, justice, and therapeutic. According to Book of Life Wikki La Muerte was modeled after Santa Muerte.

Dance of the useless

The plague within the Middle Ages brought about many to bend a knee on the grave. Saint Saens even wrote the “Dance of the Dead” to commemorate those that previous. Folkloric teams hold conventional dances alive celebrating El Día de Los Muertos. One custom is Xantolo day of the useless dance procession. For my video we selected a line dance to “Live Life” from the film the guide of life.
