Things didn’t go fairly as deliberate for Sophie Evekink — now Princess Sophie — over the weekend throughout her marriage ceremony to Prince Ludwig of Bavaria.
The 34-year-old Dutch-Canadian very briefly misplaced consciousness throughout the ceremony and fainted.

According to studies from the scene on Saturday morning on the Theatiner Church within the metropolis of Munich, Germany, the doctoral scholar went unconscious whereas in her marriage ceremony gown, and in entrance of everybody. She was there on the church making ready to tie the knot with Prince Ludwig when the unthinkable occurred: a fainting spell!!

One royal blogger reported on Saturday morning that Sophie fell throughout the ceremony however “after a drink she was fine again” — and the procession continued:
Bild: “The bride fell backwards, the groom caught her. The maid of honours rushed over, paramedics introduced her water. She felt effectively once more immediately. Prince Leopold of Bavaria gave her a bit of glucose.”

As that second tweet (above) signifies, German information outlet Bild later confirmed the fainting incident, too. It apparently occurred “during her vows” to the Prince. Oh no! Was it simply that anxious??
According to an extra later report from that German-language information outlet (translated to English, beneath, by way of People), the groom really caught Sophie:
“The bride fell backwards, the groom caught her. The groomsmen rushed over. We are glad that she felt well again straight away.”
Whoa!
We’re so glad the groom had such heroic reflexes! Things might have turned out VERY otherwise had she hit her head or one thing. So scary!!

But irrespective of. It seems like all the pieces went on simply high-quality after that. Per Bild and others, the marriage continued on with none extra hitches or hiccups.
And in accordance with People, the newlyweds stated their vows, wrapped up the superb ceremony, after which went on to close by Nymphenburg Palace. There, Prince Ludwig’s cousin — Duke Franz of Bavaria — hosted a swanky afternoon reception. And there was no extra fainting from anyone concerned, fortunately!
