Tony Iommi<\/a> has given his verdict on the forthcoming Black Sabbath<\/a> ballet after going to see the rehearsals.<\/p>\n Iommi has had a hand within the creation of the ballet, working with Birmingham Royal Ballet director Carlos Acosta. And then I never thought for a minute we would have people dancing to \u2018Black Sabbath\u2019 and \u2018War Pigs\u2019 and \u2018Iron Man\u2019,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n Asked whether or not he thinks the ballet may encourage metallic followers to develop into ballet followers, and vice versa, Iommi answered: \u201cI certainly hope so. I mean, it is a strange combination, but you\u2019ve got to push the boat out. And, you know, hopefully, we can get everybody together.\u201d<\/p>\n The eight Black Sabbath songs that can be used within the ballet are \u2018Paranoid\u2019, \u2018Iron Man\u2019, \u2018War Pigs\u2019, \u2018Black Sabbath\u2019, \u2018Solitude\u2019, \u2018Orchid\u2019, \u2018Laguna Sunrise\u2019 and \u2018Sabbath Bloody Sabbath\u2019.<\/p>\n The ballet will arrive on the Birmingham Hippodrome from September 23 to 30, earlier than shifting on to Plymouth\u2019s Theatre Royal and Sadler\u2019s Wells in London.
