MANILA\u00a0 -Singapore-based AG&P International Pte. Ltd. has turn out to be the primary entity to deliver liquefied pure fuel (LNG) to the Philippines following the arrival of its floating storage vessel in Batangas.<\/p>\n

In a press release on Thursday, the LNG terminal and downstream infrastructure firm introduced the arrival and berthing of its long-term chartered ISH Floating Storage Unit (FSU) at its import terminal on Batangas Bay.<\/p>\n

LNG coming from this vessel can be used to initially energy the 1,200-megawatt gas-fired energy plant of listed conglomerate San Miguel Corp., which serves the vitality necessities of Luzon, the nation\u2019s largest island and most populous area.<\/p>\n

The FSU was leased from ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S), the maritime logistics arm of state oil agency Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.<\/p>\n

AG&P subsidiary GAS Entec took care of changing the Japan-built Moss-type LNG Carrier ISH to the 137,500 cubic-meter FSU in 5 months.<\/p>\n

ADNOC L&S will deal with the availability, operations and upkeep of the FSU as a part of its 15-year chartered settlement with AG&P.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the docking of the ISH \u2026 AG&P is proudly set to open the first LNG terminal in the Philippines called PHLNG, one with both floating and, shortly, almost equal onshore tank storage, providing near 100-percent availability,\u201d AG&P chair and CEO Joseph Sigelman stated.<\/p>\n

AG&P earlier stated the FSU was a central part of its P14.6-billion LNG import terminal within the province. It is a part of a mixed offshore-onshore import hub with an preliminary capability of 5 million tons each year. INQ<\/strong><\/p>\n
