She says she stormed out and informed the assistant supervisor what was taking place.<\/p>\n \u201cI pulled her aside and said, \u2018hey, what does this look like to you?\u2019 And she goes \u2018oh my God, what is that?\u2019 I said \u2018 I don\u2019t know, could you tell me?\u2019 She says \u2018it looks like a really bad burn.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n She says the supervisor agreed to bathe her surveillance video with the promise that she wouldn’t inform anybody. She was shocked once they rolled the tapes again.<\/p>\n \u201cShe (daycare worker) facing the counter and when she turns around, she has a wet nap or something wet in her hands. She lifts Ayva\u2019s leg up, her right leg, places it right there and holds it and as she\u2019s holding it there, Ayva\u2019s arms go from laying by her side to shooting outwards. That\u2019s telling me my baby was in shock. My baby is in pain.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The employee is recognized in a CPS evaluation report as S. Smith. Investigators say they did substantiate claims that Smith was responsible of insufficient supervision.<\/p>\n The case was then escalated to detectives on the Henry County Police Department. She stated she then took Ayva straight to the emergency room.<\/p>\n \u201cI said \u2018my baby has her flesh missing her near private area\u2019 (The doctor) looks a little closer and says \u2018no, that\u2019s a second-degree burn.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The physician wrote in Ayva\u2019s medical paperwork \u201cthat it appears to be second-degree burns with dry dermis (skin) on the right buttock.\u201d<\/p>\n Menard says she has suffered a number of nervousness assaults because the incident and has tried to dam them out of her thoughts.<\/p>\n According to the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, we found that\u00a0Childcare Network Mcdonough<\/strong> has needed to deal with violations prior to now and has been fined no less than twice since 2018.
