San Diego State Final Four hero Lamont Butler introduced Monday that he’s declaring for the NBA draft.<\/p>\n

Butler mentioned on Twitter that he’ll retain his school eligibility.<\/p>\n

Butler completely etched his title in San Diego State lore by swishing a buzzer-beating shot as time expired to present the Aztecs a 72-71 victory over Florida Atlantic within the Final Four. The shot elevated San Diego State to the nationwide championship recreation, the place it fell 76-59 to UConn.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would also like to thank my family, friends, coaches, teammates and fans for their continued support,\u201d Butler mentioned. \u201cI\u2019m excited to announce that I will be declaring for the 2023 NBA Draft while maintaining my eligibility.\u201d<\/p>\n

Butler was a member of the All-NCAA Tournament crew after scoring in double digits in three of the Aztecs\u2019 six video games.<\/p>\n

Butler averaged 8.8 factors, 3.2 assists and a pair of.7 rebounds and amassed 57 steals and 40 3-pointers in 39 video games (38 begins) for the Aztecs this season. The two-time All-Mountain West Defensive Team choice has 127 profession steals in 94 video games (65 begins).<\/p>\n

In highschool at Riverside Poly, Butler broke the file for many factors set by basketball legend Reggie Miller.<\/p>\n
