Metallica<\/a>\u2019s Lars Ulrich has spoken about how for much longer the metallic giants will preserve touring for, forward of their large world tour in help of latest album \u201872 Seasons<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n Due to kick off later this month, Metallica\u2019s upcoming world tour will see the band play two nights at each metropolis they go to in one thing dubbed the \u201cNo Repeat Weekend\u201d, which is at the moment scheduled to run into August 2024.<\/p>\n In a brand new interview with Revolver<\/em><\/a>, Lars Ulrich spoke about the potential for the band ever retiring.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not something we\u2019ve talked a lot about, no. I think most of the energy and the resources go into trying to stay healthy, stay cohesive, stay functioning,\u201d he stated (by way of Blabbermouth<\/em><\/a>).<\/p>\n He went on to say as he will get older, he spends \u201cmore time\u201d on his each day exercises. \u201cIt\u2019s all about trying to stay healthy. Eating healthy, living healthy, whatever it is each of us needs to bring to the table.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cObviously, there is a point where it\u2019s maybe not going to function anymore at some level, where we can\u2019t play \u2018Battery\u2019 or \u2018Master Of Puppets\u2019 or songs like that. I know there\u2019s some people in the comments section that think that point has already come. But the only thing I can say is that it hasn\u2019t happened yet. Hopefully it won\u2019t happen for a while. I mean, Paul McCartney<\/a>\u2018s out there past his 80th birthday. The Rolling Stones<\/a> are still out there. Bruce Springsteen<\/a> just started his tour.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNone of them are playing \u2018Battery\u2019, \u201c continued Ulrich.\u00a0 \u201cBut at the same time, Springsteen plays three-hour shows and just played 28 fucking songs on the opening night. He looks healthier and stronger than ever. I would say that if we stay healthy, hopefully we\u2019ve got another decade.\u201d<\/p>\n Back in 2015, James Hetfield stated there\u2019s \u201cno retirement until we physically can\u2019t do it<\/a>\u201d. In 2018, Ulrich stated: \u201cWe hope we can get another 20, 25 years out of Metallica<\/a>.
