Ellie Goulding<\/a> has mentioned she views her upcoming album, \u2018Higher Than Heaven\u2019, as her \u201cleast personal\u201d launch but.<\/p>\n The singer defined in an interview with Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> that she wished her fifth album to be \u201ccompletely different\u201d from its predecessor, 2020\u2019s \u2018Brightest Blue\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the best possible way, this album wasn\u2019t taken from personal experiences, and it was such a relief and really refreshing to not be sitting in the studio going through all the things that happened to me and affected me. Because I feel things very deeply. I always have,\u201d she mentioned. \u201cIt\u2019s the least personal album, but I think it\u2019s the best album because I got to just explore other things about myself. I just really, really enjoy writing, really enjoy being a singer.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, she mentioned that the track in her discography that she’s going to all the time relate to is her 2012 hit \u2018Anything Can Happen\u2019.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s just the feeling I get every time I perform it,\u201d she defined. \u201cWhen I listen back to it, I don\u2019t know how I did that song. I couldn\u2019t tell you what I was feeling, what I was going through. And so there are some songs in retrospect that I listen to now that I sort of admire the person that I was when I wrote it because no, I think I can never write a song like that again.
