Florence Pugh has revealed the psychological toll it took to ship her efficiency in Ari Aster\u2019s 2019 horror movie Midsommar<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n In the psychological thriller, Pugh performs Dani who struggles following the loss of life of her sister and the homicide of her mother and father.<\/p>\n In a brand new interview on Off Menu Podcast<\/a><\/em>, Pugh revealed (by way of Consequence<\/a><\/em>) that she\u2019d \u201cnever played someone that was in that much pain before.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI would put myself in really shitty situations that maybe other actors don\u2019t need to do, but I would just be imagining the worst things,\u201d she continued. \u201cEach day the content would be getting more weird and harder to do. I was putting things in my head that were getting worse and more bleak. I think by the end I probably, most definitely abused myself in order to get that performance.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n She went on to clarify that she felt \u201cimmense guilt\u201d when she left the shoot to go and movie Greta Gerwig\u2019s Little Women<\/em> in Boston.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so weird. I\u2019ve never had that before,\u201d stated Pugh. \u201cObviously, that\u2019s probably a psychological thing where I felt immense guilt for what I\u2019d put myself through, but I definitely felt like I\u2019d left [Dani] there in that field to be abused. I had created such a sad person, and then felt guilty that I had created that person.\u201d<\/p>\n Last month, Florence Pugh launched two unique solo songs<\/a> that characteristic in her newest film A Good Person<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n Pugh confirmed her music would characteristic on the Zach Braff-directed movie\u2019s soundtrack<\/a> again in January.
