Eva Longoria\u2019s narrative function debut set SXSW ablaze. The fest has introduced its Audience Award winners, and \u201cFlamin\u2019 Hot\u201d took house the dignity within the Headliners slate. The movie tells the story of Richard Monta\u00f1ez, a Frito Lay janitor who \u201cchanneled his Mexican American heritage and upbringing to turn Flamin\u2019 Hot Cheetos into a snack that disrupted the food industry and became a global phenomenon,\u201d per the movie\u2019s SXSW synopsis. (The accuracy of Monta\u00f1ez\u2019s story has been disputed<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

Launching June 9, \u201cFlamin\u2019 Hot\u201d would be the first function movie to premiere concurrently on Disney+ and Hulu. The movie marks Longoria\u2019s follow-up to 2022 Sundance doc \u201cLa Guerra Civil,\u201d a glance contained in the rivalry between boxers Oscar De La Hoya and Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez.<\/p>\n

\u201cGordita Chronicles,\u201d \u201cBlack-ish,\u201d and \u201cJane the Virgin\u201d are amongst Longoria\u2019s small display screen directing credit. The multi-hyphenate rose to fame starring on \u201cDesperate Housewives.\u201d<\/p>\n
