American Idol<\/em><\/a> is within the thick of season 21<\/a> auditions, and the proficient singers simply carry on coming. Mariah Faith<\/strong><\/a> is the primary singer to audition through the March 19 episode. The 21-year-old hairstylist from South Carolina performs \u201cWhenever You Come Around\u201d by Vince Gill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Katy Perry<\/strong><\/a> stops Mariah and says she is enjoying it protected. Katy pitches Mariah to sing \u201cI Can\u2019t Make You Love Me\u201d by Bonnie Raitt<\/strong>, and Mariah nails it. Luke Bryan<\/strong><\/a> tears up a bit. \u201cI had chills the whole time,\u201d Luke says. He admits that she\u2019s \u201con the edge of greatness\u201d and has \u201cgot it all.\u201d Lionel Richie<\/strong><\/a> thinks that Mariah\u2019s potential may take her \u201cseriously all the way.\u201d Katy goes as far as to say, \u201cYou are a star. You really are.\u201d<\/p>\n
