Slipknot<\/a>\u00a0frontman\u00a0Corey Taylor<\/a> has spoken about three bands that he feels are doing nice issues for heavy music right now.<\/p>\n Speaking to\u00a0NME<\/em><\/a> about his upcoming \u201cdarker, heavier\u201d solo album \u2018CMF2\u2019, Taylor opened up about what listeners can anticipate, together with listening to influences from totally different a long time of music.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s also \u201890s grunge, \u201870s punk and the hard-hitting shit that I helped create in the late \u201890s and early 2000s, he said. \u201cIt\u2019s a bit of everything, but it was important for us to make it feel fresh.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued: \u201cThe stuff that largely inspires me comes from the stuff I grew up listening to; street hip-hop, punk, metal and all the shit that feels like it came from someplace that I can relate to and identify with.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Taylor made word of some newer bands, the place \u201cyou can feel them leaning into the passion.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cTurnstile<\/a>\u00a0are fucking amazing,\u201d he stated. \u201cSleep Token<\/a>\u00a0are really starting to do something for me, and\u00a0Bad Omens<\/a>\u00a0are great. There\u2019s a whole new generation of bands that are starting to come up that are carrying the flag for heavy music.\u201d<\/p>\n When requested whether or not he might be Sleep Token\u2019s mysterious, masked chief Vessel, Taylor replied: \u201cListen, I\u2019ve got more than enough going on. I don\u2019t need a fourth band.\u201d<\/p>\n In a video shared to social media in January, the vocalist stated the follow-up to 2020 debut \u2018CMFT\u2019<\/a>\u00a0comprises \u201celements of\u201d \u2018CMFT\u2019, Slipknot and Stone Sour<\/a>. He continued: \u201cEverything\u2019s bigger this time. Everything sounds better.
