Artistic Director Paul Hart, Executive Director Claire Murray and the staff at Newbury\u2019s The Watermill Theatre are thrilled to announce particulars of their epic summer season musical; a brand-new manufacturing of THE LORD OF THE RINGS, a musical story based mostly on the basic trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien, with guide and lyrics by Shaun McKenna and Matthew Warchus and music by A.R. Rahman (Bombay Dreams, Slumdog Millionaire), V\u00e4rttin\u00e4 and Tony Award winner and Grammy nominated Christopher Nightingale (Matilda the Musical).<\/p>\n

With the manufacturing set throughout each the Watermill auditorium and gardens, audiences shall be immersed within the magical panorama of Tolkien, becoming a member of an ensemble solid and large-scale puppets on an epic journey celebrating the facility of friendship and customary goodness to beat unimaginable evil.<\/p>\n

The Lord of the Rings will play on the Watermill from Tuesday 25 July till Sunday 15 October 2023.<\/p>\n

Tickets will go on sale to Friends of The Watermill on 15 March, to Watermill e mail subscribers on 21 March and on basic sale on 22 March, through watermill.org.uk\/The-Lord-Of-The-Rings<\/a>. Tickets for the efficiency on 22 September, Bilbo Baggins\u2019 birthday, will embody a celebration within the Watermill gardens earlier than the present.<\/p>\n
