En Garde Arts<\/a> has introduced the creation of the Joan D. Firestone Commissioning Fund. Named in honor of the longtime En Garde Arts chairperson and board member, the award will acknowledge one mid-career theatre artist who’s engaged in social change by the humanities with an unrestricted $18,000 prize. En Garde Arts has raised a complete of $100,000 by a gaggle of beneficiant donors and plans to acknowledge one mid-career artist yearly for 5 years.<\/p>\n\u201cI truly believe that if it weren\u2019t for the incredible philanthropic abilities of Joan D.
