Chief Executive\/Artistic Director of New Wolsey Theatre\u00a0Douglas Rintoul\u00a0<\/strong>directs\u00a0Nicola Bryan\u00a0<\/strong>(Myrtle Bagot),\u00a0Hanora Kamen<\/strong>\u00a0(Laura Jesson),\u00a0Jammy Kasongo<\/strong>\u00a0(Dr Alec Harvey),\u00a0Samuel Morgan-Grahame<\/strong>\u00a0(Albert Godby),\u00a0Tom Self<\/strong>\u00a0(Fred Jesson\/Stephen Lynn),\u00a0Lucy Elizabeth Thorburn\u00a0<\/strong>(Beryl),\u00a0Luke Thornton\u00a0<\/strong>(Stanley) and Chioma Uma\u00a0<\/strong>(Dolly Messiter).<\/p>\n

Brief Encounter<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0opens on 4 April at Salisbury Playhouse, with previews from 31 March, and runs till 22 April, earlier than touring to New Wolsey Theatre, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre,\u00a0Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds<\/strong>\u00a0and eventually\u00a0Northern Stage<\/strong>. The manufacturing options lighting design by\u00a0Jessie Addinall<\/strong>, sound design by\u00a0James Cook<\/strong>, set and costume design by\u00a0Jess Curtis<\/strong>, video design by\u00a0Daniel Denton<\/strong>, casting by\u00a0Debbie O\u2019Brien<\/strong>, wardrobe supervision by\u00a0Margaret Lock<\/strong>\u00a0and choreography by\u00a0Alexzandra Sarmiento<\/strong>, with music route, orchestration and extra music composed by\u00a0Tom Self<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Douglas Rintoul<\/strong>\u00a0mentioned at the moment:\u00a0\u201cI\u2019ve been itching to direct Emma\u2019s adaptation since I saw the original production. It\u2019s a hugely playful and spirited take on the most romantic love story ever told \u2013 Emma\u2019s work is thrilling Event Theatre for today\u2019s audiences, so it was a perfect choice for my first big show at the New Wolsey Theatre. I\u2019m thrilled to be working with Wiltshire Creative again and I\u2019m proud that this Ipswich made production will be seen by audiences across the UK with our brilliant partners.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
