It\u2019s just like the Berlin Wall coming down. Chris Harrison<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Kaitlyn Bristowe<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0are talking to one another once more, following almost two years of silence.<\/p>\n Kaitlyn <\/strong>spoke out on the Not Skinny But Not Fat<\/em><\/a> podcast about being \u201cghosted\u201d by the previous host. Chris was placed on hiatus <\/a>from his long-term gig in February 2021. He was formally fired <\/a>the next June. Kaitlyn and Tayshia Adams<\/a><\/strong> had been introduced as\u00a0co-hosts of Season 17 of The Bachelorette<\/a><\/strong>. According to Page Six<\/a><\/em>, that was the second when her beforehand pleasant relationship with Chris <\/strong>\u201cwent down the toilet.\u201d<\/p>\n After studying about Kaitlyn\u2019s <\/strong>emotions over the lack of their friendship and listening to her podcast, Chris <\/strong>realized the Season 11 Bachelorette<\/strong> \u201cwas sad that she lost . . . our friendship. And so instead of getting mad, or even disappointed, which I\u2019m not, I was saddened that a friend of mine was mourning the loss of our friendship,\u201d he stated, per Us Weekly<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n In an effort to patch issues up, Chris <\/strong>invited Kaitlyn <\/strong>to be part of him on his present<\/a>, The<\/em> Most Dramatic Podcast Ever with Chris Harrison<\/em><\/a>. Before the Canadian citizen joined him,\u00a0Chris<\/strong> talked about that he and Kaitlyn <\/strong>had \u201ctexted several times over the last week,\u201d\u00a0however this was the primary time they had been truly going to speak face-to-face. <\/p>\n Chris<\/strong> recalled the Season 29\u00a0Dancing With the Stars<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0champion being interviewed throughout the fallout following his protection <\/a>of\u00a0then-Bachelor<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0contestant\u00a0Rachael Kirkconnell<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/a>The controversy subsequently led to his termination.<\/p>\n \u201cI called you that morning and we talked . . . and I supported you,\u201d Chris <\/strong>prefaced their dialog. \u201d And [I] stated, \u2018Look, I totally understand. \u200bDo what you got to do . . . this doesn\u2019t have an effect on us.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n But then shortly afterwards, Kaitlyn <\/strong>and\u00a0Tayshia <\/strong>had been named as co-hosts\/mentors for Season 17 of\u00a0The Bachelorette<\/strong>. Chris <\/strong>admitted that they hadn\u2019t talked after that, though Kaitlyn texted him after getting the job. Kaitlyn <\/strong>stated on the podcast that she texted Chris <\/strong>\u201c10 times\u201d with no response in March 2021. But the previous Bachelor<\/strong> host claimed, \u201cSeven of [the messages] were just that day.\u201d<\/p>\n RELATED: Chris Harrison Thinks Wells Adams Should Have Been The Bachelor Host<\/a><\/p>\n Chris<\/strong> insisted that he wasn\u2019t deliberately ghosting his pal. \u201c[I]t had nothing \u2014 and I mean, nothing \u2014 to do with you and Tayshia <\/strong>hosting the show. It had to do with the fact that I was going through something extraordinary . . . And I don\u2019t mean this in a condescending way, [but] it had nothing to do with you or Tayshia,\u201d he defined.<\/p>\n Chris<\/strong> added that \u201cat that time,\u201d he \u201cneeded people\u201d in his life that had been \u201cunconditionally loving and caring\u201d and reaching out solely to test in on him and his household.<\/p>\n Kaitlyn <\/strong>and Tayshia<\/strong> hosted Seasons 17 and 18 of\u00a0<\/em>The Bachelorette<\/strong> below the billing of \u201cSpecial Guests\u201d earlier than Jesse Palmer<\/a><\/strong> was introduced as\u00a0the everlasting host.<\/p>\n \u201cYou were set up to fail,\u201d Chris <\/strong>instructed Kaitlyn<\/strong>, relating to her place as co-host. \u201cThat was never going to succeed . . . There\u2019s not room for two people [in that job].\u201d He continued, \u201cThere\u2019s not room for two emotions in that mental space that you\u2019re taking over, and so that was just never going to work . . . I knew how awkward and tough that situation was going to be.\u201d<\/p>\n
