Miami, FL \u2013 February 8, 2023 \u2013 The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science<\/a> welcomed over 200 cultural philanthropists, civic leaders and science supporters for its LIVE@Frost Science sequence with \u201cBreathing the Universe,\u201d that includes Professor Lisa Kewley, Director of the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian (CfA). The night started with an intimate cocktail reception on the outside Level 5 terrace. Following the reception, friends made their approach contained in the Frost Planetarium for the night\u2019s program. Dr. Doug Roberts, Frost Science VP of Science Education and Director of the Frost Planetarium, welcomed the group, adopted by a particular introduction by\u00a0Frost Science Board TrusteeDr. Richard Kurin, Smithsonian Distinguished Scholar and Ambassador-at-Large. During the speak by Professor Kewley, friends went on a journey with oxygen from the formation of the primary oxygen within the toddler universe shortly after the Big Bang, to the oxygen on Earth right now. Professor Kewley described how present floor and area telescopes are serving to us measure and perceive the origins of the oxygen atoms that we breathe on Earth, and the way the subsequent technology of telescopes, together with the Giant Magellan Telescope, will revolutionize our understanding of oxygen on planets outdoors our photo voltaic system.<\/p>\n
