The movie sees Kendrick, 37, as Alice, a lady in an emotionally abusive relationship. When Alice and her mates Tess (Kaniehtiio Horn) and Sophie (Wunmi Mosaku) depart the bustle of Toronto, Ont., for a woman\u2019s cottage journey, Alice\u2019s long-time boyfriend Simon (Charlie Carrick) takes problem.<\/p>\n

With simple poise, Kendrick leads the viewers by way of Alice\u2019s quiet, inside turmoil. Though Simon, who isn’t a bodily abuser, might appear to be the perfect boyfriend on the floor, Kendrick\u2019s efficiency unravels the wounded psyche of Alice, who has been left to deal with Simon\u2019s refined manipulation and emotional abuse. Combined with the mysterious disappearance of a lady close to the lake the place the ladies are staying, Alice\u2019s story is chilling in its authenticity.<\/p>\n
