\nAnother DC Universe sequence has been taken out. Last week, it was revealed that Doom Patrol<\/a><\/em> and Titans<\/a><\/em> had each been cancelled by HBO Max<\/a>. Now, the Pennyworth<\/em> sequence has additionally been cancelled and received\u2019t be again for a fourth season.<\/p>\n

A psychological thriller sequence, the Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman\u2019s Butler<\/a><\/em> TV present is predicated on Batman<\/em> and different DC Comics characters created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. The drama stars Jack Bannon, Ben Aldridge, Emma Paetz, Paloma Faith, Ryan Fletcher, Dorothy Atkinson, Ramon Tikaram, Harriet Slater, and Simon Manyonda. The story unfolds in Nineteen Sixties London and follows former British SAS soldier Alfred Pennyworth who works for American billionaire Thomas Wayne (Aldridge), the longer term father of Bruce \u201cBatman\u201d Wayne. Season three of begins after a five-year time soar: the civil battle is over, and a cultural revolution has modified the world for higher or worse \u2014 ushering in a brand new age of superheroes and supervillains. <\/em><\/p>\n

The present launched in 2019 on the EPIX premium channel (just lately rebranded as MGM+<\/a>). Prior to the launch of the third season, Pennyworth<\/em> was moved to HBO Max (owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns the DC characters) with the subtitle The Origin of Batman\u2019s Butler<\/em>. The final episode was launched in late November.<\/p>\n

The cancellation information follows yesterday\u2019s announcement<\/a> by DC co-CEOs Peter Safran and James Gunn relating to their plans for DC films and reveals. Pennyworth<\/em> went unmentioned.<\/p>\n
