Billboard<\/a>, Cain argued that Schon\u2019s personal \u201cmisuse\u201d of the Amex led to the aforementioned restrictions. \u201cSchon\u2019s use of the [shared] Amex card for personal expenses created serious liquidity problems for the band, as the Amex balance had to be paid every month, and there were insufficient revenues to pay for other expenses as Schon saddled Journey with over $1 million of his personal expenses,\u201d Cain\u2019s attorneys wrote.<\/p>\nIn response, Schon\u2019s lawyer Skip Miller referred to as allegations \u201cridiculous\u201d and \u201cas phony as a three dollar bill.\u201d<\/p>\n
This is simply the tip of the iceberg regarding Cain and Schon\u2019s authorized dealings with each other. Earlier this month, Schon despatched a cease-and-desist letter to Cain\u2019s spouse, Paula White Cain, who serves as Donald Trump\u2019s \u201cspiritual advisor.\u201d Schon accused White-Cain of allegedly giving herself entry to the band\u2019s financial institution accounts with out his data or consent. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in December Schon hit Cain with a cease-and-desist<\/a> Schon over a gig Cain carried out at Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago. Cain had carried out Journey\u2019s \u201cDon\u2019t Stop Believin’\u201d at a Trump gala with a backing \u201cchorus\u201d together with far-right conspiracy theorist and Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, right-wing character Kimberly Guilfoyle, and former Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake.<\/p>\n\u201cMr. Cain has no right to use Journey for politics,\u201d that letter mentioned. \u201cHis politics should be his own personal business. He should not be capitalizing on Journey\u2019s brand to promote his personal political or religious agenda to the detriment of the band,\u201d calling it a \u201charmful use of the brand.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
