A Los Angeles choose on Tuesday declared that porn performer Ron Jeremy<\/a> is mentally incompetent to face trial on dozens of rape and sexual assault counts.<\/p>\n

Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Harris mentioned in a listening to that after reviewing studies from each prosecutors and Jeremy\u2019s defence that he’s in \u201cincurable neurocognitive decline\u201d from which he’s unlikely to get well.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors requested that he be periodically reevaluated.<\/p>\n

A listening to on inserting the 69-year-old Jeremy, whose authorized title is Ronald Hyatt, in a state hospital will likely be held subsequent month.<\/p>\n

Jeremy pleaded not responsible after a grand jury indicted him on 34 counts of sexual assault, together with 12 counts of rape.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen he was arrested two years ago I said he would be found innocent of all charges,\u201d Jeremy\u2019s lawyer Stuart Goldfarb mentioned in an e mail. \u201cTwo years have passed and with the additional discovery I received I believed he would have have been found innocent. It is unfortunate due to mental condition he will not go to trial and have the the opportunity to clear his name.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jeremy, who has remained in jail since his arrest in 2020, didn’t attend the listening to.<\/p>\n

An e mail in search of remark Tuesday from the District Attorney\u2019s Office was not instantly returned.<\/p>\n
