Pope Francis stated in an interview launched this Sunday (Dec. 18) that President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva was the sufferer of “faux information” and that the method that led to the PT’s imprisonment created “an environment that favored his trial.”<\/p>\n
The Pope’s speech was made after being questioned by the editor of the Spanish newspaper ABC, Juli\u00e1n Quir\u00f3s, and the Vatican correspondent, Javier Mart\u00ednez-Brocal, about what he thinks of what occurred in Brazil with Lula da Silva.<\/p>\n
