Rhod Gilbert has shared an replace about his ongoing most cancers remedy, saying that he\u2019s \u201crecovering well\u201d.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week the comic disclosed his analysis<\/a> after initially saying that he was being handled for most cancers in July.<\/p>\n

Yesterday (December 15), Gilbert took to Facebook<\/a> to \u201cclear up any confusion\u201d about his ongoing remedy in addition to share his state of mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cHuge thanks to everyone who has been in touch; reading all your messages of support has been a welcome distraction and given me a real lift. So thanks,\u201d Gilbert wrote on Facebook.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere has been a lot of stuff in the press recently, so I thought I would clear up any confusion; my cancer diagnosis happened earlier this year (it\u2019s not a new development).\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have since had surgery, radiotherapy and chemo at Velindre Cancer Centre and UHW, Cardiff,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to their tireless dedication and incredible care, and lots of wonderful support from friends, family and you lot. I am recovering well, laughing a lot and feeling happy and positive; we are all optimistic that I will come through this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gilbert mentioned he was \u201cmaking plans for 2023, so watch this space for info on the comedy stuff; there have been a lot of laughs in odd places, so I am not going to be short of material\u201d.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week the comic mentioned his preliminary signs from April<\/a>, which compelled him to cancel reveals on his \u2018Book of John\u2019 tour.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a terribly sore throat, tightness through my neck. I was having to cancel shows because I couldn\u2019t breathe,\u201d he mentioned. \u201cI was having all sorts of problems and we couldn\u2019t get to the bottom of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In May, his signs started to worsen whereas he was in Cuba fundraising for Velindre. \u201cIn May, I noticed lumps started popping up in places they shouldn\u2019t be. It turns out I\u2019ve got Stage 4 cancer,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
