[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Ghosts<\/i> Season 2, Episodes 9 & 10, \u201cThe Christmas Spirit\u201d Part One & Two.]<\/strong><\/p>\n Ghosts<\/em> <\/a>served up its first vacation episode, and as promised, it was a spirited affair for the livings and ghosts at Woodstone.<\/p>\n While a number of romantic storylines unfolded, one had the sweetest ending of all as Brandon Scott Jones<\/a>\u2018 Isaac finally shared a kiss with red coat boyfriend Nigel (John Hartman). Reluctant for reasons revealed in the episode, Isaac carried guilt for hundreds of years regarding his wife. He believed she resented him for ruining her life, considering his sexuality, and so he had reservations about deepening his relationship with Nigel.<\/p>\n Ultimately, Sasappis (Rom\u00e1n Zaragoza<\/a>) dispels this theory Isaac had about his wife, recalling that when he was on his deathbed, she came to visit and make sure he was changed into his uniform before dying. The relief and understanding that Isaac\u2019s spouse cared for him regardless of their imperfect marriage, reassures him that it\u2019s okay to search out happiness with Nigel now.<\/p>\n (Credit: CBS)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Before the episode concludes, the pair get to share a festive kiss, which Jones says \u201cis nice to have a queer story at the center of a Christmas special.\u201d When it involves Isaac and Nigel, the actor says, \u201cit feels right that a moment like Christmas or underneath the mistletoe is the thing that would give Isaac his chance for a next step. He\u2019s been holding his relationship back so much that he needs this to happen, so it feels like a Christmas miracle.\u201d<\/p>\n As for what awaits the blissful couple when the present returns within the new 12 months, Jones teases, \u201cthey\u2019ve settled into something a little bit more routine and a little bit more recognizable to a television audience, like a traditional TV romance. But I think that still comes with its challenges. It still feels very much like first love and all the little nooks and crannies.\u201d<\/p>\n (Credit: Bertrand Calmeau\/CBS)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Even with the exploration of challenges, the actor says issues will \u201cperk up a little bit.\u201d He even reveals that \u201cNigel at some point in the season will discover a secret that\u2019s going to really give him a little bit of power as well.\u201d Could that secret have one thing to do with Trevor (Asher Grodman<\/a>) and Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky<\/a>)?<\/p>\n Following a disappointing end result with Jay\u2019s (Utkarsh Ambudkar<\/a>) sister Bela (Punam Patel), Trevor\u2019s pissed off romantically and one factor results in one other, he and Hetty finish the episode kissing passionately. Could the prideful ghosts work out some type of secret association? Only time will inform.<\/p>\n And when you have been shocked by the stunning hookup, you aren\u2019t alone. \u201cWe were all shocked by [it when we read] the page, which was really fun,\u201d Jones says of the forged\u2019s response to Trevor and Hetty. \u201cNone of us saw that coming, but when you look back at the season, you can kind of see all the little ways they hinted toward it, which is really interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s definitely a lot of romance in the air in general on the show,\u201d Jones previews. \u201cSasappis is gonna have a partner at one point. And I also know that Thor (Devan Chandler Long<\/a>) and Flower (Sheila Carrasco<\/a>) are gonna take another step in their relationship as well.
