HILLSBORO, ORE.:<\/strong> Bag&Baggage Productions<\/a> (B&B) has named Nik Whitcomb their new inventive director. Whitcomb, this system director of the Black Theatre Coalition,<\/a> succeeds Cassie Greer<\/a>, who was appointed inventive director in 2019.<\/p>\n \u201cI have been a longtime fan of Bag&Baggage\u2019s work from afar,\u201d Whitcomb stated in a press release. \u201cWhen the opportunity to join the team arose, what excited me was the type of work we would have the ability to create. B&B is rooted in a long legacy of classic storytelling, and I am excited to put my spin on this tradition.\u201d<\/p>\n A local of Omaha, Neb., Whitcomb is a core ensemble member with the Performing Arts Collective on the Union for Contemporary Art<\/a> in his hometown and can also be a member of the advisory committee for the Union\u2019s Shirley Tyree Theater. Whitcomb has held varied roles on the Guthrie Theater,<\/a> Actors Theatre of Louisville<\/a>, and the Goodman Theatre,<\/a> amongst others.
