Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/a> frontman Axl Rose <\/a>has mentioned he’ll not throw his microphone into the group on the finish of the band\u2019s live shows, after a lady claimed she was injured by the stunt at their latest present in Adelaide.<\/p>\n The band carried out within the South Australian capital on Tuesday (November 29). Some time after the present, a lady named Rebecca Howe advised Adelaide Advertiser<\/i><\/a> that she was struck by the microphone; a photograph accompanying the report confirmed swelling and thick bruises on each of her eyes, and cuts to the bridge of her nostril.<\/p>\n \u201cHe took a bow and then he launched the microphone out to the crowd\u2026 and then bang, right on the bridge of my nose,\u201d Howe mentioned, noting that she was in an space of the group that \u201cwasn\u2019t even right at the front\u201d. She went on to say that she started hyperventilating, confused that her face had been \u201ccaved in\u201d.<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cWhat if it was a couple of inches to the right or left? I could have lost an eye\u2026 What if it hit me in the mouth and I broke my teeth? If my head was turned and it hit me in the temple, it could have killed me.\u201d<\/p>\n In response, Rose took to social media with an announcement, stressing that he didn\u2019t imply to trigger any incident with the stunt \u2013 one he\u2019d recurrently on the finish of Guns N\u2019 Roses reveals for years. \u201cObviously we don\u2019t want anyone getting hurt or to somehow in anyway hurt anyone at any of [our] shows anywhere,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cHaving tossed the mic at the end of [our] show for over 30 years we always felt it was a known part of the very end of [our] performance that fans wanted and were aware of to have an opportunity to catch the mic. Regardless in the interest of public safety from now on we\u2019ll refrain from tossing the mic or anything to the fans during or at [our] performances.\u201d<\/p>\n Rose went on to hit out at some media shops for the way in which Howe\u2019s alleged harm had been reported, saying: \u201cUnfortunately there [are] those that for their own reasons chose to frame their reporting regarding this subject in a more negative [and] irresponsible out of nowhere light which couldn\u2019t [be] farther from reality.
