MILL VALLEY, CALIF.:<\/strong> Marin Theatre Company<\/a> (MTC) has introduced that creative director Jasson Minadakis will step down on March 31, 2023. Minadakis has served 17 seasons with MTC.<\/p>\n \u201cI am honored to have served as the artistic leader of this organization for 17 incredible seasons. It has been a defining period in my career and my life, and I am proud of what we have achieved,\u201d Minadakis mentioned in a press release. \u201cIt is time for a new artistic leader to lead MTC into its next phase, and I\u2019m excited to help the organization and the community through the transition period.\u201d<\/p>\n MTC\u2019s board of administrators has fashioned a search committee to determine Minadakis\u2019s successor to guide the corporate\u2019s continued creative progress.<\/p>\n Minadakis has served as MTC\u2019s creative director since 2006 and has produced 88 productions throughout his tenure, together with 20 world premieres. He established the Sky Cooper New American Play Prize and the David Calicchio Emerging American Playwright Prize to concentrate on new-play growth; the prizes have been final awarded in 2019. Under Minadakis\u2019s management, MTC turned a member of the League of Resident Theatres<\/a> (LORT). Minadakis has directed 32 productions at MTC and has labored intently Marin\u2019s National Playwright in Residence, Lauren Gunderson<\/a>, working to fee, direct, and movie Gunderson\u2019s The Catastrophist <\/em>throughout the peak of the pandemic.<\/p>\n Marin Theatre Company is dedicated to the event and manufacturing of recent performs, and is devoted to inspiring dialog, studying, and motion to construct extra inclusive communities by offering a sustainable residence for growing the work of numerous American playwrights and revolutionary theatrical experiences.
