Criminal Minds: Evolution<\/i> arrived on Thanksgiving Day and Paramount+<\/a> subscribers have been handled to some surprises within the revival. While the ten episodes will inform a whole story, it’s potential that viewers may see a second season as nicely.<\/p>\n

Against the law drama, the Criminal Minds: Evolution<\/a><\/em> TV present is a sequel to the Criminal Minds<\/a><\/em> collection and stars Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster with Zach Gilford, Josh Stewart, and Nicole Pacent recurring. In the story, the FBI\u2019s elite staff of prison profilers come up in opposition to their best risk but \u2014 an UnSub who has used the pandemic to construct a community of different serial killers. As the world opens again up and the community goes operational, the staff should hunt them down, one homicide at a time. Returning characters embrace David Rossi (Mantegna), Jennifer \u201cJJ\u201d Jareau (Cook), Penelope Garcia (Vangsness), Tara Lewis (Tyler), Luke Alvez (Rodriguez), Emily Prentiss (Brewster), and Will LaMontagne Jr. (Stewart).<\/p>\n

Showrunner Erica Messer spoke concerning the return of the Criminal Minds<\/em> characters and the potential for future seasons in an interview with Deadline<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it could go on for as long as this group wants to do it. We\u2019re all energized, excited, and loving what we\u2019re doing. I think as long as we want to keep doing it, I don\u2019t see why we shouldn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Messer additionally touched on why two of the unique present\u2019s forged didn’t return for the revival. She stated the next:<\/p>\n

\u201c[Matthew Gray Gubler has] been doing other projects and a lot of those were lining up during our window. Our window of shooting was just August to December 2. It was the same with Daniel Henney, who was working on The Wheel of Time. So I wasn\u2019t able to get them, but I could get the six other cast members. They\u2019ve never been better. They\u2019re so happy. Their characters took the same time off that we had in real life, with the pandemic. The world has changed since we last saw the BAU. And because of that, the characters have changed. We needed to write to the reality of our everyone\u2019s existence.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It is feasible that viewers may see the lacking characters return in future seasons.<\/p>\n
