Ben Platt<\/a> is engaged to Noah Galvin<\/a>.<\/p>\n The future husbands shared the joyful information on Instagram on Friday, November 25, posting photos of Platt\u2019s proposal and Galvin\u2019s new ring. \u201cHe agreed to hang out forever,\u201d Platt wrote in his caption<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI said yeehaw and then cried for, like, seven hours,\u201d Galvin wrote in his<\/a>.<\/p>\n Among the various Instagram customers who commented their congratulations have been Reese Witherspoon<\/a>, Rachel Brosnahan<\/a>, Harvey Guillen<\/a>, Cheyenne Jackson<\/a>, Beanie Feldstein<\/a>, Maude Apatow<\/a>, and Christina Chang<\/a>.<\/p>\n Platt, who received a Tony for taking part in the title position within the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen<\/em><\/a>, and Galvin, who succeeded him within the half, revealed their relationship in May 2020. And in a June 2021 look on The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/a><\/em>, Platt stated he\u2019d been relationship Galvin for a 12 months and a half. \u201cWe were friends for five years and right before the pandemic, we finally decided to really give it a shot,\u201d he stated on the time, per People<\/a><\/em>. \u201cWe kind of skated around it for a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n And in a New York Times<\/em> interview<\/a> this October, Platt confirmed that he had recognized Galvin for \u201cthree or four years\u201d earlier than his now-fianc\u00e9 took over as Evan Hansen. \u201cThere\u2019s this lore that [Dear Evan Hansen<\/em> is] how we met, but it\u2019s not,\u201d he defined. \u201cBut it\u2019s nice to have that detail of him understanding deeply what that experience was.
