Sony<\/a> has claimed that the Battlefield<\/em><\/a> franchise is unable to meaningfully compete with Call of Duty<\/em><\/a>, within the newest information to come back out of Microsoft<\/a>\u2019s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard<\/a>.<\/p>\n The feedback have been made in Sony\u2019s response to the UK authorities\u2019s investigation into the proposed acquisition (by way of PC Gamer<\/em><\/a>). Sony acknowledged that Call of Duty<\/em>, a collection owned by Activision Blizzard, has reached such a degree of success that different publishers are unable to maintain up with it.<\/p>\n Sony mentioned that Call of Duty<\/em>\u2019s success is \u201cnot replicable\u201d, arguing that it’s too entrenched for any rival to have the ability to catch up \u2013 no matter their assets.
